How much does a bookkeeper in Coomera cost? From $347 per month ($80 a week) for the Essentials package, or $650 per month ($150 a week) for Professional. A one-off BAS lodgement is a fixed $150. No hourly rates and no surprise invoices.
Do you work with marine and construction businesses? Yes. The Coomera marine precinct and the construction work through the northern growth corridor are two of the areas we see most — including TPAR, progress claims and contractor payments.

Bookkeeping for Coomera businesses
Coomera is the fastest-changing part of the Gold Coast and its business base shows it. The Coomera marine precinct on the river is one of the largest concentrations of boat building, refit, brokerage and marine services in the country. Around it, the northern growth corridor through Foxwell Road, Upper Coomera and Pimpama has been under continuous construction for years, supporting a dense population of builders, civil contractors, trades and suppliers. Westfield Coomera and the town centre have added retail, food and services on top.
Those are three quite different bookkeeping problems in one postcode: marine businesses with long project timelines and international parts supply, construction businesses with subcontractors and progress claims, and retail businesses with daily takings and casual rosters. We handle all three, and the one thing they share is that the paperwork rarely keeps up with the work.
Why Coomera businesses choose us
Long projects reconciled properly
A refit or a build that runs across three quarters should not produce three quarters of guesswork. Deposits, progress payments and retentions each carry their own GST timing, and we get them into the right period the first time.
Contractors coded right, all year
Subcontractor payments captured with ABNs as they happen, so the TPAR in August is a report you run rather than a fortnight of reconstruction.
Built for businesses that work out of a vehicle
Receipts captured on the phone through Hubdoc, invoices raised from site, bank feeds coded weekly. The admin happens as the work happens.

BAS lodgement for Coomera businesses
Most Coomera businesses lodge quarterly. Lodging electronically through a registered BAS agent gives you the concessional dates below rather than the standard ones — roughly four extra weeks on three of the four quarters.
| Quarter | Standard due date | Lodged through a BAS agent |
|---|---|---|
| Q1 — July to September | 28 October | 25 November |
| Q2 — October to December | 28 February | 28 February (no extension) |
| Q3 — January to March | 28 April | 26 May |
| Q4 — April to June | 28 July | 25 August |
For a marine or construction business those extra four weeks usually mean the quarter’s final claims and retentions have settled before the statement is prepared, which is the difference between a reconciled figure and an estimate you amend later.
If you lodge monthly, the activity statement is due on the 21st of the following month. The December statement is the exception — businesses under $10 million turnover reporting GST monthly through an agent have until 21 February.
We do not lodge on the last afternoon. Your figures are finalised and sent to you for sign-off with time to query anything before it goes to the ATO.
The Coomera marine precinct
Boat builders, refit yards, riggers, marine electricians, upholsterers, brokers and chandlery all trade along the Coomera River precinct, and the accounting has features you do not see elsewhere on the coast.
Imported parts and materials bring deferred GST and customs entries into the picture, and the GST on an import is claimed on the strength of the customs documentation rather than the supplier invoice — a distinction that trips up plenty of files. Work performed on vessels for overseas owners, or on vessels being exported, can be GST-free in specific circumstances, and the circumstances matter: getting it wrong in either direction is expensive. We code these correctly and keep the documentation that supports the treatment.
Long refit projects also need progress billing that matches the work actually done, with deposits held correctly rather than recognised as revenue the day they arrive.
Construction, contractors and TPAR
If you pay subcontractors in building and construction, the Taxable Payments Annual Report is due by 28 August each year. The ATO cross-matches it against what those contractors reported, so the detail has to be accurate.
Through the Coomera and Pimpama growth corridor, the businesses most often caught out are the ones that grew fast — the subcontractor list doubled, nobody captured ABNs, and August becomes a fortnight of reconstruction. We code contractor payments properly through the year so it does not.
The contractor-versus-employee question is worth testing too. Getting it wrong leaves you exposed to super guarantee charge and PAYG shortfalls going back years, and it is one of the more common audit triggers in construction.
Retail and services around the town centre
Westfield Coomera and the surrounding town centre bring the other kind of client — daily takings, POS reconciliation, casual rosters and award payroll. We connect the POS to Xero so sales reconcile themselves, and run the payroll against the award that actually applies.
Onsite bookkeeping in Coomera
We visit clients through the Coomera marine precinct and Waterway Drive, the industrial and commercial pockets off Foxwell Road and Old Coach Road, Upper Coomera, and the Coomera town centre.
For a yard or a site-based business, the first meeting onsite is worth the drive — it is much faster to see how the job paperwork actually flows than to have it described.
Payroll, Single Touch Payroll and payday super
Award interpretation for construction and marine trades, apprentice rates, allowances, RDOs, casual rosters for the retail clients, and Single Touch Payroll reporting every pay run.
Since 1 July 2026, payday super requires super contributions to reach each employee’s fund within seven business days of payday rather than quarterly. For a Coomera business paying a crew weekly, the practical effect is that super now moves with every pay run rather than sitting until the quarter, which changes the working capital picture noticeably.
Catch-up bookkeeping and overdue BAS
Fast-growing businesses fall behind for the best possible reason — the work took over. It is still fixable.
We bring the file current, lodge the outstanding statements in the right order, and where there is a genuine reason for the delay we can approach the ATO about a payment arrangement or a remission of penalties on your behalf. Catch-up work is quoted as a fixed price once we have looked at the file, so you know what getting clean costs before you commit to it.
Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks
We work in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks, with Hubdoc for receipt capture so paperwork is photographed once and filed automatically. If you are still running the business out of a spreadsheet and a shoebox, we will get you set up on software properly, migrate the history, and train you on the bits you actually need to touch.

Coomera bookkeeping FAQs
How much does a bookkeeper cost in Coomera?
From $347 per month for Essentials or $650 per month for Professional. One-off BAS lodgement is $150.
Do you work with marine businesses?
Yes. Boat builders, refit yards, marine trades and brokerage in the Coomera marine precinct are a regular part of our work, including imported parts and deferred GST.
Can you lodge my TPAR?
Yes. We code subcontractor payments with ABNs through the year and lodge the Taxable Payments Annual Report by 28 August.
How do you handle deposits on a long project?
As income in advance, recognised as the work is performed. A deposit is not revenue on the day it lands, and treating it as revenue overstates both profit and GST.
Do you visit the Coomera marine precinct?
Yes — Waterway Drive and the surrounding yards, as well as the Foxwell Road and Old Coach Road commercial areas.
